Daejeon City to Build 3D Printing Center

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Daejeon City attracted a project organized by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning to build a regionally-specialized 3D printing comprehensive support center.

The city will invest KRW 2.1 billion (national expenses KRW 1.53 billion, city expenses KRW 580 million) by 2017 in establishing the regionally-specialized 3D printing comprehensive support center in the Daejeon Technopark Robot Center.

The city will capitalize on the 3D printing sector to support manufacturing innovation of companies and facilitate the 3D printing market.
