(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) In a bid to accelerate its 'Smart Creation Center' project, Daejeon city held a presentation competition on 'Smart Creation Center' business models and had a graduation ceremony of business start-up courses.

In this competition organized by the Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, 62 prospective entrepreneurs and mentors participated and presented various ideas including 'o2o service' which connects buyers with sellers and ICT integrated electric skateboards.

Selected 25 teams will receive up to KRW 5 million to fund commercialization expenses and go onto the 'IR Demo Day' event on Aug 29th. Five teams will be chosen among 25 teams through the event and receive up to KRW 50 million to start their businesses.

Teams not selected in the presentation competition can have a second chance through the 'Lean startup' program.
