According to Newsis News,

(DAEJEON=Newsis News) The City of Daejeon announced Jan. 30 its intentions to inject KRW 7.4bn this year to reduce airborne ultrafine particles (UFPs).

As part of its initiative to supply eco-friendly automobiles, the City has decided to invest KRW 4.2bn in purchasing 200 electrical vehicles and charging stations, KRW 600mn in the early scrapping of 400 worn-down diesel cars, and an additional KRW 600mn in attach diesel particulate filters (DPFs) on 160 diesel cars.

The City also has plans to supply 16 electric bikes to public institutions and other establishments, as well as inject KRW 50mn in replacing regular boilers with low-NOx burners (LNBs).

In addition, KRW 420mn will be spent on switching chartered buses into CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles, KRW 170mn on 6 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and KRW 720mn on purchasing 3 street-cleaning cars to eliminate secondary fugitive dust from road surfaces.

By late March, the City will install UFP (PM2.5) monitors at all 10 locations within the air-pollution monitoring network, and thereby reinforce the constant monitoring system.
