According to Yonhap News,
(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) The project to build a new international convention center in Daejeon is expected to begin on a full scale.
Daejeon City Mayor Kwon Sun-Taik announced Mar. 6 at the city hall briefing room that the project passed through the interior ministry's central investment screening process.
The approval came some four years after the city finalized a plan for the project in 2012.
The center will be built on the former Daejeon Trade Exhibition Center site inside the Expo Science Park in Doryong-dong, Yuseong-gu.
The city plans to spend a total of KRW 95.4 billion on the project until 2021.
