According to Yonhap News,

(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Self-driving buses and passenger cars currently being developed by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of Korea will go on a test run in downtown Daejeon early next year.

At the city hall on June 27, Daejeon and ETRI signed to that effect, as part of a wider effort to promote the 'leading and advanced autonomous vehicle industry.'

Based on the agreement, the vehicles will drive along a 7.4km course in the vicinity of the ETRI headquarters in Yuseong-gu.

Self-driving technology will also be installed in buses for ordinary citizens to experience the latest innovations in the field.

To increase the use of autonomous vehicles in the city, the two parties agreed to join forces on building an exclusive space for testing ICT-based advanced transportation systems.
