(DAEJEON=Newsis News) Daejeon city has set out on a full-scale effort to attract medical tourists from Kazakhstan.
The city announced October 22 that from the 13th to 21, a delegation of the city government, the Daejeon International Marketing Enterprise (DIME) and 3 local medical centers including Chungnam National University Hospital, visited the cities of Astana and Almati, where it carried out promotional events for local agencies and buyer.
The delegation met with the minister and vice minister of the Almata city government, discussed ways to increase exchange between the two cities, and agreed to strengthen cooperation in the healthcare sector.
The delegation also visited 7 local hospitals, including the Polyclinic Hospital, ad agreed to hold seminars and doctor exchange programs in the future.
In particular, the delegation held a promotional info session for local agencies, multi-national insurance companies, and local hospitals, and a temporary medical consulting booth for local residents.
