On March 4, the Daejeon Metropolitan City government announced its plan for the “Customized Youth Start-Up Ecology Development Project.”

The project provides university/college students and youths who are interested in starting a business with the required resources, including a customized training, consulting for promising start-ups, and business development support, to help them in their endeavors.

The project spans a wide array of areas, from technology, knowledge, and convergence items to social ventures. The government will provide start-up grants that range from KRW 10 million to KRW 50 million to promising and capable would-be entrepreneurs who were selected by experts through objective selection processes.

The project also offers a follow-up support that is designed to help participants make prototypes, develop designs, publish promotional materials, and participate in fairs and expos in and outside Korea.

Applications should be submitted to the Daejeon Business Agency by March 28. Further details about the project can be found on the Daejeon Biz website or by contacting the Start-up Support Team of the agency.
