According to Yonhap News,
(DAEJEON=Yonhap News) Daejeon City signed an occupancy and investment agreement with 6 companies investing in Ansan Hightech Defense Industrial Complex, Science Business Belt and Haso Industrial Complex on 20th of December.
The companies include blue-chip defense enterprises, global SMEs and startups.
The city and the investment companies agreed to work together to revitalize the local economy
and to create new jobs by investing in construction of the headquarter office, production
factories and R&D facilities.
The city estimated the investment to total KRW 44.4 billion. It aims to create 143 new
employment. According to the city government, the agreement was the third major
accomplishments of the city since its new administration. Overall, the city attracted investment
from 18 blue-chip companies.
The City mayor gave his word to provide administrative and financial supports to foster investment.
