Daejeon city selected 10 companies to support through "2019 Global-up for promising SMEs program"

On July 16, Daejeon city announced 10 companies to be supported through "2019 Global-up program for promising SMEs".

The selected enterprises will be receiving support for global commercialization program including overseas marketing, provided jointly by KAIST and University of Texas.

Main contents of support include an opportunity to participate at roundtable of local companies, contract brokerage, technology cooperation, joint venture investment, and local business marketing in the U.S. and Central America.

The city conducted three-step deliberation on 32 applicant companies, including on-line training for global technology commercialization, on-site review by the U.S. managers, and report of global market analysis. The city has supported 59 companies up to date through this program since 2011.

A city official said, "We will speedily support entry to foreign markets through systematic analysis and networking by business experts from the early stage of technology development."
