(DAEJEON=Yonhap News)On September 8, Daejeon Metropolitan City announced that it attracted USD 11 million (KRW 13.15 billion) investments from two U.S. companies, which own AI, and self-driving technology, respectively.

The two companies pledged to jointly invest in a foreign investment district, which is under plan, within an International Science Business Belt.

The City also added that it is in the process of attracting a total of USD 60 million (KRW 71.73 billion), USD 10 million from the U.S. three-wheeled electric vehicle company, and USD 50 million from a heat and refrigerating system producing company in the defense and industrial sector.
