KWRC rolled out a vision statement envisaging the world’s best water business
Korea Water Resources Corporation (KWRC) rolled out a vision statement envisaging the world’s best water business providing a comprehensive range of services. Head of the agency officially stated innovative solutions at the proclamation ceremony held on Jul 15 at the presence of the chief director of National Water Management Committee.
The statement goes in line with the idea that the way we manage water resources needs to change in the age of a new normal which requires overhauling the entire system to reshape our society while encountering global agenda - climate change, digital transformation and abrupt outbreak of contagious diseases sweeping across the world like COVID-19.
KWRC suggested seven main tasks to be performed – preservation efforts to keep our rivers clean, access to clean tap water, greener water management and the urban water cycle. They set up ambitious goals to reach drinking water quality at the best as possible by 2025, while increasing access to potable water ranged to almost 90 percent of the population, close to that of Europe until the year 2030. On top of that, KWRC will be part of commitment to urban water cycle, based upon technologies for the upcoming fourth industrial revolution.
