Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) announced a private-public partnership project with the Ministry of SMEs and startups (MSS) to form an AI manufacturing platform, named “Korea AI Manufacturing Platform”, framing it as a support tool to help small locally based businesses or startups with little access to manufacturing data enjoy the process of analyzing raw data, uncovering hidden patterns for AI applications.

By making full use of NHN•KT consortium’s highly developed infrastructure which has built large scale resources to be applied such as high performance graphic processing unit(GPU) and large capacity storage solutions, KAIST will provide a variety forms of data analytic skills.

Plus, they’ll also help AI tech-support group in which representatives from the nation’s top four science institutions take part in, form manufacturing AI data setting, push for a project to confirm the business possibilities of AI solutions and run a public contest to award the best AI algorithm developers.
