DAEJEON < invest Korea

The city of Daejeon is looking for potential candidates who’re to move in what’s called ‘Daejeon Startup Park’, located in Gungdong, Youseong-gu. Possible applicants are required to be locally based tech-companies, younger than six years or would-be entrepreneurs, the city said on Jan 31.

Head office relocation is the prerequisite for the application especially those headquartered outside the city. Once selected, the finalists are allowed to stay in for up to three years. They can also be given a package of biz-support programs such as financial aids, mentoring and training services, investment coaching services etc.

By forming an incubator-like startup park, the city has committed to the formation of an entrepreneurship ecosystem through which the authorities find promising businesses with full growth potential and run support programs with private sector entities. A city official said “We’ll make an all-out effort to help them sustainably scale up”
