In celebration of the opening of an open R&D center, a sharing research lab for small and mid-sized enterprises, four national institutes of science and technology-Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST)- have hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Apr 6 at the KAIST head office located in the city of Daejeon.
In a bid to help locally based SMEs further advance technological innovations while spurring business-institute joint research work, the four bodies have facilitated the space.
