Daejeon-si and and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) joined hands to create a cutting-edge sensor valley in industrial complex to be built in Jangdae-dong, Yuseong-gu.

The two parties signed an MOU on 'Construction of Jangdae Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex Innovative Growth Center to Foster High-Tech Sensor Industry' on July 8.

The city is to build 'High-Tech Sensor Support Center' utilizing the Innovative Growth Center, converging spaces for business establishment, communication and exchange, and residential areas, and support and foster the sensor industry ranging from technical development of sensor-related materials, parts, and equipment to commercialization.

The two agreed to identify projects together and attract sensor companies to reinvigorate the industrial complex.

To establish an Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex on the area of 73,000㎡ around Jangdae-dong, the city plans to finish Disaster Impact Evaluation and deliberation on industrial complex planning and complete construction in 2024.
