Daejeon Tourism Organization announced on May 10 that it had signed an MOU with Shinsegae Central City Hotel Onoma at the Daejeon Convention Center to fostering the Daejeon MICE industry and pursue mutual development. The 'Hotel Onoma Autograph Collection', which Marriott International opened at Daejeon Expo Tower in August last year jointly with Shinsegae Central City, has 171 rooms and a grand ballroom that can accommodate 250 or more people.


According to the MOU, the two organizations will work together to foster and develop the MICE industry in Daejeon and attract large-scale events, while providing convention and accommodation facilities for various events, and actively cooperate to strengthen the city brand of ‘Science MICE City Daejeon’. The President of the Daejeon Tourism Organization said, "The MOU will contribute to various large-scale MICE events and tourism revitalization projects, including the successful hosting of 2022 the General Assembly of UCLGA, to be held in coming October."
