According to Yonhap News,

Daejeon-si and the Daejeon Institute of Science & Technology for Enterprise & People (DISTEP) announced on June 23 that they will recruit 30 foreign talents to participate in the 'Global Entrepreneurial Talent Fostering Course' to help high-quality foreign science and technology talents settle down in the local area by July 10.

International students attending local universities and graduate schools can participate.

It has been planned to provide programs to foster immigrant entrepreneurs and technology startup training in order to induce excellent foreign talents to start their own businesses and support them in their settling in the local area.

A city official said, “Besides Seoul, Daejeon has the highest proportion of advanced foreign science and technology personnel,” adding "building on such strength, we expect to induce global talents to start local business and lay the foundation for global innovation entrepreneurship ecosystem like Silicon Valley."
