According to Yonhap News,

Daejeon Biennale, a fusion exhibition of science and art, will be held on August 2-October 30 under the theme of 'Future City'.

The Daejeon Museum of Art announced on July 12 that it will showcase works including installation art, media art, and paintings by 22 artists (teams) from 11 countries at the main building of the museum and the Daejeon Creative Center.

The main building will feature works under four sub-themes: 'Terrapolis for All', 'Once the Future', 'Infinite Intersection', and 'City Project'.

It will exhibit works that interpret the problems of the future cities in artistic ways, such as climate change, ecological crisis, and the co-existence in rapidly changing digital era.

In the sense of dreaming of a future city that grows, led by the region, the works of Daejeon-based young artists will also be on display.

International academic events, art forums, and children/families participating programs will also be held online and offline.

Daejeon Biennale is a biennial art project that integrates technology, nature, and humanity.

Daejeon Museum of Art, which has been conducting convergence projects of science and art such as 'Daejeon FAST' and 'Project Daejeon' representing the identity as a science city, has been holding the Daejeon Biennale since 2018.
