UCLG Daejeon generates economic impact of KRW 71.4 bln and employment inducement effect of 435

Daejeon-si revealed on Dec. 26 that the economic ripple effect of the World Congress and Summit of Local and Regional Leaders (UCLG), which was held in October, amounted to KRW 71.4 billion.

The findings of an analysis by the Daejeon Sejong Research Institute showed that the UCLG general assembly in Daejeon created impacts, including a production inducement effect worth KRW 47 billion and value-added inducement worth KRW 24.4 billion.

The employment inducement effect came at 435 people.

Foreign participants spending per person was estimated to be at an average of KRW 132,2000.

The satisfaction level of 400 national and international participants with the location of congress Daejeon was 88.4 out of 100, mainly showing high scores on urban security and sanitary.
