On Feb. 16, the Daejeon Transportation Corporation announced that Mr. Roh Woo-sang had become the first subway driver in the region to achieve the 400,000 km range without accident by stopping train No. 1080 at Panam Station.
The range of 400,000 km is equivalent to circling the globe ten times or traveling between Seoul and Busan 500 times.
Mr. Roh set the record 17 years after the opening of the urban railroad.
