The negotiations on the budget earmarked for the project of constructing trams, the Daejeon metro line 2, were concluded.

After a series of deliberations done by Ministry of Economy and Finance about revised and complementary budget plans concerning wireless low-floor trains and underground trains, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport notified the city of the result on Apr. 23.

The total amount of the tram project fund is KRW 1.491 trillion.

"We had a long delay for a while. Deajeon will make utmost efforts to cut through the red tape to make sure we break ground in the early nest year.", said Lee Jang Woo, Mayor of Daejeon Metropolitan City.
