The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) opened the "International R&D Industry-Con 2023" at the 1st exhibition hall of the Daejeon Convention Center on November 14.

The event, which runs until November 15, integrates research industry-related events such as exhibitions, conferences, and investment promotion, under the theme of "Research Industry, Key Partners in Tech Start-ups" this year.

President Lim Gi-chul of the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) gave a keynote lecture at the opening ceremony. The MSIT also awarded commendations to those who contributed to the development of the research industry.

The exhibition hall also also holds an exhibition where 36 research equipment companies and 37 R&D service companies participated, displaying the latest research equipment from home and abroad.

In the afternoon, research industry conferences are scheduled to discuss localization to secure competitiveness of research equipment. Also, Korea-EU International Cooperation Roundtable is scheduled, where Agence De l＇innovation En Santé, Biotech, CzechInvest, and Korea International Trade Association (KITA) will discuss strategies to enter the European technology market.

In addition, there will be business partnering, investment briefing session, and consultation to explore ways to create business opportunities.
