According to Yonhap News,

On January 18, Daejeon-si announced that it will build the 2nd City Museum of Art, a music concert hall, and the Lee Jong-soo Museum in a planned design approach to use them as the city's landmarks.

The planned design approach is a construction method in which competent architects and architectural design are decided first to ensure creative and innovative design plans, followed by the establishment of a basic plan to carry out the project.

The city has been preparing with three public architects since October last year to build the Lee Jong-soo Museum with this approach.

The planned design is scheduled to be introduced to citizens on January 26.

For the 2nd City Museum of Art and the Music Concert Hall as well, consultation with famous domestic and foreign architects is underway to court their participation.

An official from Daejeon-si said, "The construction of high-end buildings with the existing construction method revealed limits," adding, "We will create a world-class landmark in Daejeon through the "pre-design first, followed by project planning" approach.
