On April 19, Daejeon-si announced Seattle's economic delegation led by its mayor Bruce Harrell visited Daejeon, marking the 35th anniversary of sister city relationship between the two cities.

The Seattle's economic delegation consists of 68 nenbers including representatives of companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, T-Mobile, and Evergreen, as well as officials from the Greater Seattle Partners and the University of Washington.

The welcoming ceremony held at the ICC Crystal Ballroom, followed by the presentation of major policies and technologies by the two cities' leading companies.

It addition, there was an opportunity for networking between companies, research institutes, and universities from the two cities.

Seattle's mayor said, "I hope this visit will facilitate exchange of talented paople and cooperation in high-tech industries."

Daejeon-si and Seattle established a sister city relationship in 1989.
