According to Yonhap News,

On November 18, Daejeon-si signed an MOU to cooperate to foster the foodtech innovative technology industry with Pulmuone, a food manufacturing and service company.

The two sides agreed to set up a consortium for technology cooperation with promising local companies to discover and foster food tech innovative technologies and industries in Daejeon.

The foodtech industry, which is recently growing rapidly around the world, proposes innovative solutions by converging advanced technologies throughout all processes from food manufacturing, processing, distribution, and consumption.

Pulmuone has shown interest in Dajeon's promising companies with technologies applied to food research and technology since July. In this light, Daejeon-si has played a bridging role by arranging meetings between Pulmuone and local companies, which led to the MOU signing today.

The city expects the agreement to serve as a catalyst for local technology-based startups to strengthen their cooperative system by sharing the latest technologies in the food tech sector, while jointly developing innovative products to expand the global market.
