The Daejeon Hyo Culture Ppuri Festival, the signature festival of Daejeon’s Jung-gu District, won the Grand Prize in the Festival Cultural Heritage and History category at the 13th Korea Festival Contents Award.

Following the Special Prize in 2022, the Contents Category Grand Prize in 2023, and the Arts and Tradition Category Grand Prize last year, this year marks the fourth consecutive year the festival has received an award, with the Grand Prize in the Festival Cultural Heritage and History category.
The festival is a celebration that reflects on the values of "filial piety" and "roots," based on the Hyo Culture infrastructure, including the Ppuri Park, the Korean Genealogy Museum, the Hyo Culture Village, and the Hyo Culture Promotion Institute. Last year, the festival attracted about 240,000 visitors and 105 clan associations.
Jung-gu District Mayor stated, "We will continue to do our best to create a festival that not only offers various attractions and entertainment but also promotes the value of our traditional culture, 'filial piety.'"
