According to Yonhap News,

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) announced that the 'Daejeon Startup Park,' created in collaboration with Daejeon-si, officially opened on March 18.

Daejeon Startup Park is a space developed jointly by the MSS and Daejeon-si to provide a foundation for startups to freely interact with investors, large and medium-sized enterprises, universities, and other related institutions, facilitating their growth.

It is the second startup park to open, following the opening of the Incheon Startup Park in 2021.

The Daejeon Startup Park's operating organization, the Daejeon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (DCCEI), plans to focus on fostering science and technology-based entrepreneurship specialized for the region.

To support this, the center will assist in public technology transfer using new technologies from government-funded research institutions and universities in Daejeon.

Additionally, the park will provide housing subsidies to employees of resident companies to support the settlement of startups and skilled personnel. It will also offer rent subsidies to businesses that settle in Daejeon after graduating from the startup park.
