According to Yonhap News,
On March 27, Daejeon Technopark (Daejeon TP) announced that it is recruiting companies to participate in its first support program aimed at helping promising Daejeon companies enter the North American market (Seattle) by April 7.
The program, which is being launched for the first time this year, consists of a pre-bootcamp and a local program, providing support to 8 companies, up to KRW 12.35 million per company.
Eligible participants are core industry companies located in Daejeon that are within 7 years of establishment in sectors such as precision medical bio-health, logistics and defense service robots, and nano semiconductors. Small businesses in emerging industries such as artificial intelligence (AI) may apply if they are within 10 years of establishment. Since the program is conducted primarily through local business partner meetings without separate translation services, participants should be capable of effective communication in English.
Starting with this program, Daejeon TP plans to continuously support regional companies from their initial market entry to establishment, including technology validation, residency at K-Startup Center (KSC)-[Seattle], and more.
Daejeon TP stated, "We will spare no support from the initial stages of market entry to help companies successfully settle in the North American market."
