Daejeon-si to implement a new village urban regeneration project for the old downtown area

On July 7, Daejeon-si announced that it will launch the "New Village Urban Regeneration Project" to improve the living environment in the underdeveloped old downtown area.

The city plans to improve alleyways and streetscapes, expand public safety infrastructure such as CCTV for crime prevention purpose, and create a complex community in the 70,000㎡ area of Daehyeung-dong, Jung-gu.

A total of approximately KRW 30 billion will be invested in this project, including KRW 15 billion in national funds and KRW 15 billion in local government funds.
