A new era has begun with the market capitalization of listed companies in Daejeon surpassing KRW 80 trillion.

According to Daejeon Technopark (Daejeon TP) on November 11th, as of the end of last month, the market capitalization of 66 listed companies in Daejeon totaled KRW 81.3238 trillion, marking an increase of KRW 5.675 trillion from the previous month. Since surpassing KRW 74 trillion for the first time in July, the total has continued to break new records, reaching KRW 76 trillion in August and KRW 81 trillion in September, setting a new high for four consecutive months.

In the KOSDAQ market, advanced Daejeon companies, primarily in the bio and robotics sectors, have risen to the top. Alteogen maintained its position as the top KOSDAQ company with a market capitalization of KRW 26.1375 trillion at the end of last month. Rainbow Robotics (KRW 8.468 trillion) is ranked 4th, Peptron (KRW 6.3073 trillion) is ranked 6th, and LigaChem Biosciences (KRW 5.3597 trillion) is in the top 10.

Daejeon TP cited the sharp rise of Rainbow Robotics as the main factor behind this increase in market capitalization. The company's market value surged by about 41% (KRW 2.4735 trillion) in one month, driven by expectations for collaboration with Nvidia.

Amidst this trend, Daejeon-grown AI company 'Nota AI' was newly listed on the KOSDAQ market on November 3rd, bringing the total number of listed companies in Daejeon to 67.

Nota AI is a deep-tech company founded by researchers from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), specializing in the lightweight and optimization of AI models for application across various industries.

From the subscription stage, Nota AI garnered significant attention, recording the highest subscription competition ratio of 2,781.5:1 among IPOs this year. The subscription deposits amounted to approximately KRW 9 trillion.

Kim Woo-yeon, President of Daejeon TP, stated, "It is a significant achievement that the market capitalization of Daejeon-listed companies has surpassed KRW 80 trillion and that Nota AI has become the 6th listed company through the IPO program by Daejeon-si and Daejeon TP. We will further strengthen full-cycle support to help promising Daejeon companies secure global competitiveness and lead them to IPOs, continuing Daejeon's growth as a leading economic city."
