According to Newsis,
On December 8, Daejeon-si and Daejeon Technopark (Daejeon TP) announced that they participated in the '2025 Space Tech Expo Europe' held in Bremen, Germany, to showcase the technological capabilities of regional space companies and expand the foundation for global cooperation.
The Space Tech Expo is Europe’s largest space industry exhibition, with over 800 companies and around 10,000 participants this year. Daejeon TP and Daejeon-si set up the 'Daejeon Pavilion' to showcase the core technologies of regional companies and facilitate exchanges with key buyers and international space agencies.
The exhibition featured five companies: LeO Space (satellite communication equipment), XMW (RF transceiver modules), MID (ceramic package memory), InterGravity Technologies (orbital transportation technology), and Telepix (onboard AI modules). These companies presented advanced space components and systems technologies.
During the exhibition, the participating companies held over 150 buyer consultations, achieving export consultation results amounting to approximately KRW 12 billion. Notably, major European buyers from Germany and the UK proposed supply chain cooperation and joint research. Based on networks with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the companies plan to strengthen their entry into the European space market and expand new partnerships.
The technologies showcased at the exhibition are recognized as key components applicable to space launch vehicles like Nuri (Korea's space launch vehicle) and satellite systems, demonstrating Daejeon’s technological competitiveness in the European space industry.
Daejeon TP said, "This exhibition was an opportunity for Daejeon’s space companies to directly demonstrate their technological capabilities in the global market. To foster the space industry, which will drive Daejeon as a leading economic city, we will focus on providing follow-up support to ensure the continued entry of regional companies into the global market."
