(Daejeon = Yonhap News) Reporter Park Ju-young – Daejeon Metropolitan City announced on the 5th that it will hold the '1st Daejeon Startup Forum,' a startup festival designed to discover promising startups, at the Startup Park Headquarters in Gung-dong, Yuseong-gu on the 9th.

This forum serves as a preliminary event to ensure the successful hosting of 'Startup Korea Investment Week'—a startup investment consultation event held annually by the city in September—and is conducted in connection with the 'Regional Startup Festival' organized by the Ministry of Startups and SMEs.

Under the theme of 'Convergence of K-Content and Innovative Technologies,' the forum comprises programs including a startup forum, 1-on-1 investment and business meet-ups, an Investor Relations (IR) demo day, and networking sessions to support startups' investment attraction and business expansion.

Keynote lectures are also arranged. Lee Won-jae, Professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST); Choi Seung-yong, CEO of Titicaca AI; and Kim Ju-young, Principal Researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), will deliver presentations on the themes of 'K-Culture Cruising the Galaxy of Diversity,' 'The AI Era: Globalization of Personal Content and Localization of Premium Content,' and 'Beyond Screen: The Evolution of K-Content Based on AI and Spatial Computing,' respectively.

In tandem with this, the Startup One-Stop Support Center will introduce the current regulatory status in the content industry sector and provide consultations for difficulties experienced at startup scenes.

Beginning with this forum, the city plans to operate regular forums on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month leading up to the Startup Korea Investment Week in September, covering themes such as K-industries, climate tech, aerospace & defense, bio, and AI & robotics.
