[Seoul=Newsis] Reporter Lee Soo-ji = 'K-Heritage' cultural products are moving beyond traditional palace stores to connect with visitors nationwide.

The Korea Heritage Agency announced that it will sequentially operate 'K-Heritage Pop-up Stores' in Gyeongju and Daejeon throughout September.

The first pop-up store will run from September 10th to 12th at the International Heritage Industry Expo, hosted at the Hwabaek International Convention Center (HICO) in Gyeongju. The agency plans to introduce traditional cultural merchandise that allows attendees to experience the value of Korean national heritage in daily life.

Following the Gyeongju event, a second pop-up store will open from September 18th to 20th at the Museum & Art Gallery Fair, held in Exhibition Hall 2 of the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC).

A official from the Korea Heritage Agency stated on the 6th, "We plan to sell products on-site to general visitors and industry officials, gathering consumer feedback and demand metrics to refine future product development and distribution strategies."

Historically, K-Heritage stores operated primarily through online channels and permanent physical outlets located inside major palaces. Recently, the agency has been expanding its physical retail footprint by participating in major nationwide cultural events and expos.

During a previous pop-up store commemorating the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee session in Busan, approximately 27,000 visitors attended, generating around KRW 280 million (approx. USD 210,000) in sales. By July, total annual merchandise sales surpassed KRW 10 billion (approx. USD 7.5 million), reaching the benchmark two months faster than the previous year.
