According to Yonhap News,

The city of Ulsan and Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) Ulsan Office unveiled a biz-support package devised to help locally based small or medium-sized companies receive a technical support produced to meet each candidate’s individual requirements on Mar 8. Spending as much as KRW 800 million in total on over 170 separate cases of technical supports, the city and KITECH will step into the joint-research projects, if necessary, or workplace complaints and grievances resolution process so as to help local SMEs in the shipbuilding and auto industry gain competitive edge in commercialization or core technology development.

Anyone interested in the project can visit KITECH Ulsan Office or submit an application form via bccha76@kitech.re.kr or mail.

Candidates can visit the official website, www.kitech.re.kr, and download the application form. For more information, please call 052-980-7703. No sooner than potential applicants seeking tech-mentorship programs apply for the service, they’re allowed to meet with industry specialists.

For those who want supports for small-scale research programs or self-sufficiency research work, KITECH provides up to KRW50 million cash grants or technical supports following the in-house committee’s deliberation.

Launching the project since 2005, the city has raised return on investments, equivalent in value to KRW 15.5 billion in the 2016-2020 period, a city official said.
