According to Yonhap News,

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) According to Daegu City on January 19, the average employment rate (15~64 year old) of the city in 2015 reached 65.3 percent, a 1.1 percentage point increase year-on-year.

The average unemployment rate was 3.5 percent, a 0.4 percentage point decrease year-on-year.

It is the first for the average employment rate of the city to surpass 65 percent.

Employment increased in sectors including electricity, transportation, communications and finance.

The youth employment rate showed a distinctive increase.

The average youth employment rate (15~29 year old) in 2015 recorded 39.6 percent, the highest in the country.

"We will focus on creating more jobs for the youth in 2016," said Daegu City Mayor Kwon Young-jin.
