MOTIE Listens to Grievances of Regional Companies

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Minister, Vice Ministers and executive-level officials of the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE) will visit regional companies from March 25 to April 1 to seek measures to solve their export grievances.

Vice Minister Lee Kwan-sup will visit Daejeon on March 25 to review the exports of regional companies and examine their grievances. The executive-level officials will visit Daegu, South Chungcheong Province, Busan and Ulsan to introduce the government's export promotion policies to the regional companies.

Minister Joo Hyunghwan hosted an event called Export Caravan on March 23 for two days to reach out to regional companies that are in need of export support.

MOTIE will also provide consulting booths for regional companies to conduct one-on-one consulting meetings with export-related institutions including the Small and Medium Business Administration, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and Small & Medium Business Corporation to solve their grievances


The government will invest KRW 853.6 billion in promoting investment of regional companies and developing special industries in 2016.
