DAEGU < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) The City of Daegu announced Feb. 13 that the 17 precision forming companies it had supported last year to make prototypes saw an increase in their workforce with 65 new employees, as well as a 9 percent rise in sales.

The City will hold a meeting at the Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute to share the accomplishments of 10 companies in the precision forming, one of the city's oldest industries.

The Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute has focused its research on the forming of high-strength lightweight metal parts, and high-efficiency precision forming.

According to Gwon Seong-do of the city government's Machine Robot Division, "the city is going beyond providing financial support to the region's main industries, by offering specialized technical and marketing services to related companies."
