(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Offering the latest trends in the world beauty industry, the 5th International Beauty Expo is set to kick off on May 19 for a 3-day run at the Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center (EXCO).
At the event hosted by the city of Daegu, 180 Korean companies and organizations are set to participate, offering visitors a glimpse of their newest creations in the cosmetics, hair-styling, manicure, skincare, bodycare, medical beauty fields.
An export consulting session will also be offered to connect Korean companies with 40 corporate buyers from Europe and Southeast Asia.
Daegu citizens who register online by 6 p.m. on May 18 at the Daegu International Beauty Expo official website (www.beautyexpo.kr) can enter all events for free.
Mayor Kwon Young-jin noted that he expects the expo will help revitalize the local beauty industry and establish a bridgehead to enter foreign markets.
