(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu Metropolitan City announced February 6 that it will begin construction of the Sincehon-daero Interchange (IC), which directly conncets the city's third industrial complex and Sincheon Expressway.

As part of the project to rejuvenate the old industrial complex, a total of KRW 97.7 billion will be spent on making a 13-meter wide, 2.1-kilometer long overpass that connects Sincheon Expressway and the city's third industrial complex by 2022,

When completed, the overpass interchange will reduce the time to enter the North Daegu IC from the industrial complex by at least 20 minutes.

Director Sim Imseop of Daegu's City-based Innovation Headquarters asked for the understanding of local residents during the period of construction.
