E-learning experts from all over the world will gather in Korea this week.
On June 17, the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards will host the 31st international standardization conference for educational information (JTC 1/SC 36) on June 18.
This is the fourth time the conference will be held in Korea following 2003 (Seoul), 2008 (Jeju) and 2012 (Busan).
The JTC 1/SC 36 is a subcommittee under the joint technical committee of the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission for the global standardization educational information including E-learning terminology, learner information and support technology as well as metadata.
This year, 50 educational information standardization experts from 10 countries including France, Canada and China will come together to share recent global trends and discuss ways to develop global standards.
The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards will propose 3 new standardization items for the agenda about the use of VR and AR contents.
The agency also plans to take the lead in technical standards in the field of educational information and strengthen international cooperation among countries.
