(DAEGU=Yonhap News) On July 3, Daegu City revealed it hosted 90 buyers from 8 different countries to participate in the 5th Daegu International Medical Tourism Exhibition that will be held from July 6 to 8.

The buyers from countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia and Japan will take part in B2B meetings with Daegu's medical institutions and tour the city.

The event will be hosted by the city of Daegu and overseen by Medicity Daegu. It will comprise a conference on Daegu's global medical tourism, a night for medial tourists and consultations with overseas medial institutions and tourism agencies.

Before the event, the city plans to sign an MOU with the World Medical Tourism Association for medical staff training, academic exchanges and cooperation with medical institutions in Daegu.

World Medical Tourism Association is a cooperative council on international medical tourism exchanges and is made up of about 50 Chinese companies that work to send Chinese patients to places such as Europe, the U.S. and Japan.
