(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu city and Gyeongbuk-do announced that they dispatched "Auto Part After Market Trade Mission" to Malaysia and Thailand during July 8-12, achieving USD 41 million (USD 48.3 billion) contracts.

The delegation is made up of Daegu Chamber of Commerce, and Gyeongbuk Economic Promotion Agency, and eight auto part companies from the region, had trade consultations worth USD 98 million (KRW 11.54 million) in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.

The automotive aftermarket (secondary market) is the service market of automotive, covering vehicle equipment, accessories, after-service (AS) and tuning.

The officials from the city and the province said, "We will actively target the niche market of auto parts to overcome the downturn of the auto part industry."
