According to Yonhap News,

Local enterprises based in the regions of Daegu city and North Gyeongsang Province have been found to raise as much as USD 200 billion in exports through a KOTRA’s marketing platform, a contingency program having KOTRA’s overseas offices throughout the world work on behalf of companies, locked down due to the coronavirus-led travel bans. Being financed by the local authorities, nearly 155 companies (94 in Daegu city and 61 in North Gyeongsang Province) have reached approximately USD200 billion in exports, said KOTRA on Jun 24.

Entrepreneurs, who’ve called for help and benefitted from the service, unanimously said “It’s a service provided for us in a timely manner. Hope that the authorities help stretch out logistics networks overseas, an important inventory management strategy giving better access to merchandise to be supplied on the ground.”
City mayor, Kwon Young-Jin, also called KOTRA on assistance to attract reshoring companies into the city of Daegu, aligned with the national project to bring home-grown companies back home.
