According to Newsis,

Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) announced the launch of its business support project on Apr 7, designed to give practical solutions to those weighed on the lingering coronavirus-induced recession and help break in and open new business channels to establish brand awareness by running a virtual, non-face-to-face advertisement on social media platforms like YouTube.

The support package entails a new marketing tactic which integrates social media marketing creating video ad contents and uploading posts on a dedicated YouTube channel, open for the first time in Korea to promote Korean products and services overseas, and Business to Business (B2B) platforms as a means to drive up sales.

In a bid to build audience engagement for locally based small and mid-sized enterprises, the city has created a YouTube channel, named ‘DG Trade TV’ featuring social media influencers from South East Asia to endorse Korean brands for the first time among other municipal governments. By making social media work for B2B marketing, the city government set a goal to make practical solutions for sales increase, strategically targeting markets in South East Asia or Europe.

The deadline for the application submission is until Apr 23, and anyone interested in the program must provide valid proof of company size and headquarters to validate Daegu city residency.
