According to Yonhap News,

On November 26, Daegu-si announced that the construction of the National Water Equipment Performance Certification Center, which allows performance of water technologies, has been completed.

With officials from the Ministry of Environment, K-Water, and the Korea Environment Corporation, a completion ceremony was held at the National Water Industry Cluster in Guji-myeon, Dalseong-gun.

The Center allows the test and verification of water technologies related to pumps, valves, and flow meters among technologies and products developed by water companies. Its construction began in November 2022.

The operation of this center will be later entrusted to K-Water.

According to the research on water industry, the market size of the fluid sector in the global water industry market accounts for the largest share, standing at 56% (about KRW 162 trillion) in total.

Despite the need for world-class performance test facilities to develop water technologies and related products, the performance test facilities run by K-Water Research Institute and the Korea Testing Certification Institute are saturated.

The National Water Equipment Performance Certification Center, equipped with large facilities needed by companies, will support world-class performance testing and technologies.
