On January 13, Daegu-si announced that it participated in 'CES 2025, the world’s largest consumer electronics and ICT exhibition held in the United States, achieving export and investment consultation worth USD 180 million.
Daegu-si operated the Daegu Joint Pavilion and Daegu Robot Startup Pavilion at CES 2025 in Las Vegas on January 7-10, jointly with Daegu Technopark and the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation of Kyungpook National University, supporting the overseas market expansion of 38 local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups.
The participating companies showcased their products such as automatic baseball betting machines, remote water meter reading systems, and smart farm robots, attracting considerable attention. During the event, they achieved consultations for exports and investments worth USD 180 million in total and signed 8 MOUs.
During the event period, Daegu-si also promoted the 'Future Innovation Technology Expo (FIX) 2025' to domestic and international companies and overseas buyers, drawing a positive response.
An official from Daegu-si said, "Even after the event, we expect local companies to sign agreements with overseas buyers for product supply and MOUs, and we will explore ways to continue to support them. We will help Daegu companies enter new markets home and abroad."
