On February 25, Daegu-si announced that AJIN CAR IN TECH, a leading automotive parts company headquartered in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, has decided to move its headquarters and research center to Daegu.

The city signed an investment agreement with AJIN CAR IN TECH to relocate its headquarters and establish a next-generation technology research center based on ABB (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain).

According to the city, AJIN CAR IN TECH, established in 1976, specializes in manufacturing automotive parts and has shown significant growth recently by supplying lightweight vehicle components utilizing advanced safety technologies to domestic and international automakers.

AJIN CAR IN TECH plans to invest KRW 23.2 billion to relocate its headquarters to a 2,247㎡ site in the Suseong Alpha City by 2027, where it will also establish an ABB-based next-generation technology research center.

Since 2023, the city has been focusing its policy efforts, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT, to develop Suseong Alpha City as the largest digital innovation hub outside the capital region.

CEO of AJIN CAR IN TECH said, "We will work with Daegu-si to build a sustainable growth model and expand recruitment of local talent to contribute to revitalizing the regional economy."

Daegu's mayor stated, "We will actively support the stable settlement and growth of AJIN CAR IN TECH, as well as the development of future mobility and the ABB industry."
