The city of Daegu announced on June 19th that it will participate for the first time in the "2025 Summer Fancy Food Show," the largest food exhibition in North America, which will be held at the Javits Center in New York from June 29 to July 1.

According to Daegu City, the 'Fancy Food Show' is an annual global B2B (business-to-business) food exhibition organized by the Specialty Food Association (SFA), with over 2,600 food companies from around the world participating each year.

For this year's exhibition, Daegu-si will set up a joint pavilion, 'Daegu Pavilion,' with 10 outstanding local food companies, showcasing a wide variety of products, including processed foods and functional foods.

During the exhibition, Daegu plans to actively carry out marketing activities through tasting events, product consultations, and networking programs aimed at overseas buyers.

Popular local products such as instant tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), the famous flat dumplings from Daegu, seaweed products, and japchae will be featured. In addition, frozen pizzas and fruit juices will be introduced, expected to serve as a significant opportunity to raise awareness of Daegu’s excellent food products and enhance the competitiveness of the food industry.

Throughout the event, Daegu officials will engage with global buyers and distributors to promote the competitiveness of local food products, identify global market trends, and discover items with export potential.
