Daegu-si and 10 robotics companies to cooperate to foster the advanced robotics industry
On July 14, Daegu-si signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with 10 robotics companies to foster the development of humanoid and artificial intelligence (AI) advanced robotics industries.
Under this agreement, companies involved in robot components, finished products, and demand sectors—such as LS Mecapion, Samick THK, Sambo Motors, Doosan Robotics, and HD Hyundai Robotics—will collaborate with Daegu-si on technological innovation, business commercialization, cooperation model development, regional talent training and recruitment, and the creation of a sustainable industrial foundation.
Daegu-si plans to expand policy support for these companies, establish the testbed environment for demonstrating innovative technologies, and provide resources necessary for product commercialization.
Deputy Mayor of Daegu-si stated, "We will strategically foster the AI advanced robotics industry, including humanoids, to ensure that local companies can compete in the global market."
