According to Yonhap News,

On November 4, Daegu-si announced taht a music delegation from Tallinn, the City of Music of the UNESCO in Estonia, will visit Daegu on November 5-8 to discuss cultural exchange and collaboration between the two cities.

Daegu was designated as the City of Music of the UNESCO in 2017, while Tallinn received the designation in 2021. The two cities began cultural exchanges in 2022 through the "UNESCO Creative City of Music Daegu Global Forum."

Since then, young Estonian artists participated in the activities of the Daegu Concert Hall’s Solasian Orchestra in 2023, and an opera performance from the Daegu Opera House was showcased in Estonia this year, continuing their exchanges.

The upcoming delegation will visit Daegu's major performance venues, art institutions, and creation/rehearsal spaces, and meet with music festival organizers, art organizations, and cultural policy officials.

A city official stated, "We plan to focus on discussions with the delegation to review cooperative directions, such as Daegu artists participating in the Estonian international music festival 'Tallinn Music Week.'" The official added, "Taking this visit as an opportunity, we aim to strengthen the network of City of Music of UNESCO and expand cultural exchange opportunities."
